Jordon Ibe completes £15m club record move to Bournemouth

English Premier League side Bournemouth have completed the transfer of Nigeria-born Jordon Ibe from Liverpool for a club-record fee of £15million. The forward is expected to join his team mates for their pre-season training camp in Chicago, USA. Ibe, 20, penned a four-year deal at Vitality Stadium to become the club’s fifth summer signing.

Bournemouth chief executive Neill Blake said: “We’re delighted to bring Jordon to the football club. “He played plenty of football with Liverpool last season and we’re looking forward to seeing him to continue to grow now with us, he’s a huge prospect. “We’ve now signed five players this summer, all of whom have an abundance of potential. “It shows that we’re serious about nurturing talent at this football club and we have the long term in mind when we say we want to stay in the Premier League.” The England under-21 international made 41 appearances for the Reds in all competitions last season, including six games in the Europa League as Jurgen Klopp’s side made it to the final. Ibe, who has played four times for England’s U-21, only signed a new five-year deal at Anfield last May, but found it hard to feature regularly under Jurgen Klopp.
